Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Maitland, Florida. In this Contract to Hire position, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions within a fast-paced construction environment. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute daily and weekly activities to support department operations.

• Prepare and manage a high volume of purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders with precision.

• Place orders for project managers and superintendents while ensuring compliance with company standards.

• Resolve issues with subcontractors and vendors regarding invoices, pay requests, and other financial matters.

• Provide support from a satellite office by maintaining accurate records and documentation.

• Schedule meetings, handle correspondence, and efficiently manage fax and message systems.

• Collaborate with team members and provide exceptional service to coworkers and the department.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with office personnel and external clients.

• Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office equipment effectively.

• Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time by prioritizing workload and maintaining focus under pressure.

Requirements • Proficient in accounts payable processes, construction accounting, and handling purchase orders.

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office equipment.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Detail-oriented approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capable of scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and operating fax systems efficiently.

• Efficient and motivated approach to work, even in high-pressure situations.

• Willingness to learn new software programs and adapt to evolving technology.
