    Description

    A nationally recognized law firm in Seattle is hiring a Patent Legal Assistant to add to their existing team. The role supports 3 attorneys and multiple paralegals with Patent Prosecution matters.

     

    The salary range is 60-100k DOE, with the potential for an end-of-year discretionary bonus. They provide a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401k with employer contributions, three weeks PTO and sick time, all court holidays paid, and additional perks.

     

    The role would require 5 days per week in office for the first 30 days. Following successful onboarding, employees may work half of their time from home if desired.

     

    This role supports both U.S. and foreign patent prosecution matters in a multitude of tasks including but not limited to:

     

    - Opening new matters

     

    - Sending out engagement letters and invoices

     

    - Calendaring and communicating with docketing team

     

    - Preparing, proofreading and formatting legal documents, reports and communications

     

    - Navigating intellectual property software, case management software and keeping important documentation organized

     

    - Communicating updates to clients and retrieving necessary case information

     

    - Arranging travel, continuing education courses for attorneys and patent agents, maintaining attorney billable time and other executive assistant functions

    Requirements

    Qualified candidates will have:

    - 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, with significant intellectual property experience an understanding of patent prosecution procedures

     

    - Experience handling multiple legal softwares and case management systems in a hybrid remote environment

     

    - Prior experience supporting multiple attorneys

     

    - Clear, professional, and proactive written and verbal communication skills
