We are seeking an Onsite Desktop Support Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a manufacturing environment in the Appleton, WI area. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working directly with end users, and being out on the plant floor—not behind a desk all day.

What You’ll Do

No two days are the same. This role provides Level 1–2 deskside support for a mid-sized end-user population in a manufacturing setting, including:

+ Provide PC, laptop, and device support for end users, including installations, setup, troubleshooting, and break/fix

+ Deliver hands-on deskside support throughout the facility, including the manufacturing/plant floor

+ Support printers, phones, peripherals, and technology connected to manufacturing equipment

+ Troubleshoot hardware, software, and device-related issues

+ Image, deploy, and swap out PCs and related equipment as needed

+ Document and prioritize tickets accurately in the ticketing system

+ Deliver excellent customer service while working closely with internal plant staff

Must-Have Qualifications

+ 2+ years of Desktop / End User Support experience

+ Strong experience supporting desktops, printers, and end-user devices in a mid-sized environment

+ Comfortable being on your feet for a good portion of the day and working onsite

+ Proven customer service skills, including handling difficult or high-pressure situations professionally

+ Hands-on experience with hardware support and PC imaging (PC swaps, deployments, replacements)

+ Experience supporting a Microsoft environment, including Office 365 (Level 1 support)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop or end-user support roles.

• Proficiency in supporting desktops, printers, and other end-user devices in a mid-sized environment.

• Ability to work onsite and spend significant time on your feet.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally.

• Hands-on expertise in hardware support, including PC imaging, deployments, and replacements.

• Familiarity with Microsoft environments, including Windows 10 and Office 365.

• Experience with Active Directory and handling service desk tickets.

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
