Description

We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves working onsite and handling individual tax returns, including some complex cases. If you have a strong background in tax preparation and enjoy helping clients navigate their financial obligations, we encourage you to apply. This position will be part-time 20-30 hours a week, depending on availability.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file individual tax returns accurately and efficiently.

• Assess client financial information to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Review and resolve discrepancies in tax documents or filings.

• Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to manage and process tax returns.

• Provide guidance to clients on tax-related queries and concerns.

• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.

• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive financial data.

• Collaborate with team members to address complex tax cases.

• Ensure timely submission of tax filings to meet deadlines.

Requirements • Proven experience in individual tax preparation.

• Proficiency with Lacerte Tax Software.

• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work onsite in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

• Effective communication skills to interact with clients.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Prior experience handling complex tax returns is a plus.
