Plastic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C)
Lahey Hospital and Medical Center
Join our Plastic Surgery team as a skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to work independently and collaboratively with plastic surgeons and other healthcare professionals. You will provide crucial pre- and post-operative care, manage clinic flow, handle inpatient needs, and oversee wound care to ensure excellent patient outcomes. As you become integrated into the department, this role offers a pathway to transition into a surgical first-assist capacity in the operating room.
What You'll Do:
+ Pre & post-op assessments for cosmetic & reconstructive surgery patients.
+ Participate in consultations & treatment planning; educate patients.
+ Support surgical planning & coordinate pre-surgery steps.
+ Manage post-surgical complications with surgeons.
+ Opportunity to support individual surgeons practice, including performing occasional first assist in operating facilities.
+ Document care in Epic EMR.
+ Coordinate care with other specialties (oncology, dermatology, etc.).
+ Educate patients/families on procedures, post-op & wound care, scar management.
+ Inpatient evaluation & management of complex wounds.
+ Participate in quality improvement, research (as applicable).
Qualifications:
+ Current licensure as a PA-C in Massachusetts
+ MA Prescriptive Authority (controlled substances) & DEA registration.
+ 2+ years APP experience preferred; surgical, wound care, or plastic surgery experience a plus.
+ Strong interest in developing surgical first-assist skills (prior experience or RNFA certification preferred but not required for the right candidate).
+ Excellent communication, critical thinking, time management, & interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently & collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

Pay Range:
$133,120.00 USD - $215,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
