Rochester Regional Health is seeking an experienced General Surgeon to join a well-established, community-based surgical program serving patients at Rochester General Hospital and Unity Hospital. Rooted in the communities we serve, this role is ideal for a surgeon with independent practice experience who values clinical autonomy, teamwork, and delivering high-quality care across every stage of life.

The Opportunity
Clinical Practice
+ Maintain a busy, well-supported general surgery practice covering inpatient, outpatient, elective, urgent, and emergent cases.
+ Provide general surgery consultative services, including Emergency Department coverage.
+ Participate in a 1:4 call rotation with clear expectations and reliable support.
+ Work within streamlined clinical operations that allow you to focus on patient care.
+ Serve as one with fellow surgeons, APPs, and care teams, contributing to a collaborative and respectful clinical environment.

+ Practice within a system that cares like family, offering strong OR resources, dedicated surgical teams, and robust ancillary support.

+ Offer informal guidance and collaboration that supports team growth and high-quality care delivery.
What We’re Looking For
+ MD or DO, Board Certified in General Surgery.
+ Minimum of 3 years of independent General Surgery practice experience (required).
+ Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
+ Broad general surgery skill set aligned with community-based practice.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
