PRODUCTION PLANNER - CORPORATE OFFICE (WILLMAR, MN OR BARRON, WI)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for preparation and communication of daily/evening shift boning schedules to Melrose, Willmar Ave, and Faribault boning operations and plant distribution.
2. Prioritize work schedule to meet customer orders. Answer Daily Hold Over Inventory adjustments from respective shipping locations / WAP, FF, and BB.
3. Attend daily meeting or phone conference with Monte, Pelican Rapids, and WAP.
4. Execute the transfer of raw material between plants. Using meat orders supplied from Value Added Production Schedulers.
5. Additional duties assigned based on current business needs. May require some weekend and after hour access for problem resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
+ At least one year of experience in one or combined areas of Plant operations, Transportation, Logistics, Production Scheduling, Distribution or Supply Chain experience
+ Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
+ Strong Interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal communication skills.
+ Detail oriented with ability to adapt to a changing environment.
+ Have strong process orientation skills.
+ Strong skills working with AS400.
+ Strong skills in Excel spreadsheets
+ A pattern of initiative and leadership
+ Good organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task
+ Able to work some Saturdays when required.
Preferred:
+ Associate degree in Business
+ Main Frame Experience

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $19.25-$27.00 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
