    OVERVIEW:

    Summer interns will complete a 10-week internship located full-time on site in Middletown, CT. Liberty Bank is proud to host a dynamic and diverse internship program designed to cultivate the next generation of banking and finance professionals. Through this immersive internship, participants will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals, contribute to real world projects and develop essential skills that will prepare them for successful careers in the financial services industry and beyond!

    SUMMARY OF THE JOB:

    As an IT Data Management & Integration Intern at Liberty Bank, you will assist in implementing various Data Management, Analytics, and Integration solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse systems, ranging from traditional financial applications to sophisticated SaaS solutions, supporting key innovation initiatives in Data Management & Enterprise Architecture and System Integrations. Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Leader, you will collaborate across the organization to transform IT operations by developing data reporting models, integration strategies, and key processes, working closely with internal IT teams and vendors to drive the adoption of new technologies.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + Business Analysis: Collaborating with business teams to prioritize information needs and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

    + Data Storytelling: Analyzing datasets to answer key business questions, identify emerging trends, and develop compelling data-driven insights.

    + Systems Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance for existing integrations, including monitoring active jobs and assisting in the resolution of technical issues.

    + Requirements Gathering: Working with stakeholders and external vendors to document business requirements, use case scenarios, and "as-is/to-be" workflows.

    + Testing & Evaluation: Designing and executing test plans to evaluate the performance and reliability of system integrations.

    + Cross-Functional Coordination: Supporting project management by coordinating activities between IT teams and various business units.

    + Standards Development: Assisting in the creation and implementation of domain standards, best practices, and strategic roadmaps.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    + Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Preferred candidates to be majoring in Technology or related field.

    + Experience providing data/research support preferred

    + Experience in data collection and analysis is preferred

    + Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, Integration tool is a plus

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office

    + Proven analytical skills

    + Proven critical thinking skills

    + Strong organizational skills

    + Proficiency in MS-Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + General Office Equipment

    + Keyboard Dexterity

    + Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.

    + Ability to travel.
