Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer to join our Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a technical leader, you will architect, build, and deliver rapid, high-impact prototypes for strategic clients, embedding with their teams to solve complex and ambiguous technical challenges. You will guide a talented engineering team, drive innovation, and ensure seamless transitions from prototype to production, helping position TEKsystems as a trusted innovation partner. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Architect, design, and lead the development of rapid prototypes and scalable solutions on GCP, addressing clients’ most pressing business challenges. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the FDE engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles: from opportunity qualification, discovery, and prototyping, through solution transition and production deployment. • Collaborate closely with C-level client stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional teams to define technical strategy and translate business objectives into actionable solutions. • Establish and enforce best practices for coding, architectural integrity, model validation, and solution reusability. • Review code, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high-quality, production-ready deliverables. • Stay current with emerging technologies, GCP services, and engineering methodologies, driving adoption of innovative tools and practices. • Present technical concepts and project progress to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Contribute to the creation and curation of reusable assets, solution patterns, and intellectual property for the FDE practice. • Track and report on key metrics such as prototype success rate, transition to billable engagements, and client satisfaction. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud solution development, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or lead capacity. • Expert-level proficiency in designing and building solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP); experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus. • Strong programming skills in Python and/or other modern languages; familiarity with relevant frameworks and tools. • Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying production-grade systems, rapid prototypes, and scalable cloud solutions. • Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps/MLOps practices. • Experience with data engineering, feature engineering, and building data pipelines for cloud-based use cases. • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. ________________________________________ Nice to Have • Experience with AI/ML, data analytics, or building agentic solutions on GCP. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and security best practices. • Contributions to open-source projects, published research, or thought leadership in the cloud engineering community. • Relevant GCP certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Data Engineer). ________________________________________ Why Join TEKsystems? • Work with a passionate team making a real impact across multiple industries. • Collaborate with Google experts and strategic clients on high-visibility projects. • Grow your skills through ongoing training, development, and leadership opportunities. • Thrive in a dynamic, inclusive, and innovative environment. • Be part of the TEKsystems Global Services success story—there’s never been a more exciting time to join us.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $133100.00 - $199700.00/yr.
We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
