    About the role

     

    As **Sr iOS Software Engineer** , you will be instrumental in designing and architecting mobile applications using advanced technologies. Your expertise in Swift UI and design patterns will drive the creation of innovative solutions that enhance user experience. You will be a valued member of the Engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient solutions.

    In this role, you will:

    • Design and architect mobile applications with a focus on user experience and functionality.

    • Implement advanced features using Swift UI to enhance application performance.

    • Utilize design patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable code structures.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking libraries effectively.

    • Develop and maintain code using Swift Package Manager for efficient project management.

    • Conduct thorough testing using XCTest to ensure application reliability.

    • Manage version control and collaboration using GIT to streamline development processes.

    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to foster growth.

    • Ensure adherence to best practices in mobile app design and architecture.

    **Work model:** Hybrid.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring X days a week in a client or Cognizant office in **Plano, TX** .

    What you need to have to be considered:

    • 10+ years of demonstrate proficiency in Mobile App Design and Architecture with a strong understanding of user-centric design principles.

    • Possess extensive experience in Swift UI showcasing the ability to create dynamic and responsive interfaces.

    • Exhibit knowledge of design patterns ensuring code is structured for scalability and maintainability.

    • Have hands-on experience with Swift Package Manager facilitating efficient project management.

    • Show expertise in networking libraries enabling seamless data integration and communication.

    • Display proficiency in XCTest for rigorous application testing and quality assurance.

    • Utilize GIT for effective version control and collaborative development processes.

    • Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

    • Strong communication (written & verbal) & interpersonal skills.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime.

    Salary and compensation:

    The annual salary for this position will be between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
