    Description: Under minimal supervision, the Campus Director is responsible for the administration and operation of a technical college satellite campus. This position reports to the President.

    Major Duties:

    • Plans and organizes the work to meet the technical college’s objectives.

    • Addresses/resolves complaints and needs of students, faculty, staff and outside customers.

    • Serves as liaison to departments of the technical college.

    • Promotes the satellite campus program to public and private organizations supporting expanded services and facilities.

    • Reviews and approves requests for supplies and materials.

    • Maintains or oversees the maintenance of student records.

    • Oversees recruitment efforts in local high schools and the community.

    • Provides leadership for committees, special projects and initiatives as assigned.

    • Ensures policies and procedures relating to the administration of building security, parking and emergency preparedness are followed.

    • Manages and oversees financial/budget operation of the campus.

    • Monitors the activities of personnel to ensure compliance with TCSG policy manual and department procedures.

    • Develops and/or assists with the development of policies and procedures and recommends changes to effectively meet the goals and requirements of the college.

    • Evaluates employees at scheduled intervals.

    • Conducts regular evaluation of services provided and adjust as needed.

    • Maintains up-to-date policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact department initiatives.

    • Works collaboratively with all departments and levels of leadership to serve and support the campus as needed.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Oral and written communication skills

    • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public

    • Decision making and problem-solving skills

    • Skill in the operation of computers, and job-related software programs

    • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures

    • Strong organizational skills, project/task management experience

    • Knowledge of TCSG and college policies and procedures

    • Knowledge of student records retention practices

    • Knowledge of admissions regulations and guidelines

    • Knowledge of financial aid regulations and guidelines

    • Supervisory skills

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university

    • Experience in the field of higher education

    • Management experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree

    • Technical education work experience

    • Experience as an academic advisor

     

    Driver’s License Requirement: Valid GA Driver License

    Physical Demands:

    • The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects of a light to medium weight.

    • Work is typically performed with the employee sitting at a desk in an office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings.

    • Full range of hand and finger motion is utilized for data entry purposes.

     

    Travel Requirements: Some travel to peer groups or other training/conferences and to other campuses

    Training Requirements:

    + Employee understands and agrees to complete all required trainings, to include those mandated by the State of Georgia Governor, by stated deadlines, as a condition of employment.
