Job Summary

The technician will operate fabrication tools and equipment, maintain quality control throughout the process, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, troubleshooting fabrication issues, deliveries and collaborating with project managers and installers to meet deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Organization and Prefabrication of all requested materials

+ Inventory Management

+ Material Staging and Shipping

+ Deliveries when necessary

+ Assist Operations Manager and Purchasing with various projects.

+ Maintains cleanliness for shop/warehouse/storage as needed.

+ Be aware of surroundings to work safely

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

+ High School Diploma or GED is required.

+ 1+ years of related work experience is required.

+ Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.

+ Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required.

+ Average experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel) applications is required.

+ Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.

+ Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management is required.

The strength rating for this position is classified as medium work which entails exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Environmental conditions of this position may include including inside, outside, extreme hot, extreme cold, and wet. This position frequently requires protective equipment for eyes and feet. Operations of a computer, telephone, hand tools (manual and power), and material handling equipment. Understanding simple math, simple drawings, technical reports, technical instructions, layout work, and simple memos is required. Writing simple memos and summaries is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to customer and company locations by land and air.
