    The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing patient evaluations, as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual patient and physician’s orders when applicable.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice

    + Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy

    + One (1) year of prior professional Physical Therapy experience preferred

    + Current CPR if applicable

    + TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

    + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

    About the Role

    Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking Pediatric Physical Therapists for a rewarding contract opportunity at a Medical Therapy Unit (MTU) in Modesto, CA. This position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on children and young adults while working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

    Position Details

    + Work Location: Modesto, CA 95355

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

    + Start Date: February 9, 2026

    + Contract Duration: 4 months

    + Hours: 40 hrs/week

    + Client Population: Birth to 21 years

    Responsibilities

    + Manage a caseload of approximately 6 clients per day

    + Perform physical/occupational therapy evaluations and provide treatments

    + Develop treatment plans with functional goals

    + Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed

    + Maintain accurate clinical records and complete required reports

    + Attend clinics, case conferences, staff meetings, and trainings

    + Evaluate and order adaptive/durable medical equipment; train caregivers

    + Consult with caregivers and agencies involved in patient care

    + Participate in the IEP process

    + Provide guidance to Therapy Aides, volunteers, and interns

    Qualifications

    + Required: Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience

    + Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish) – not required

    + Valid PT license in California

    Compensation

    + Travel Package: $3,406/week (includes $2,160 taxable + $1,246 stipends)

    + Local Rate: $70/hr
