    Clinical Dietitian – Level I & Level II

    About the Role

    BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital is seeking a Clinical Dietitian (Level I or Level II) to support nutrition services across its LTACH and SNF units. The dietitian will coordinate all phases of nutrition care, including assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling for both hospitalized patients and outpatients. This role supports compliance with Joint Commission standards and all regulatory agencies.

     

    Level II candidates will additionally function in a supervisory capacity, serving as team leaders while performing all duties of Level I.

     

    This assignment supports an immediate need for an additional Registered Dietitian to join the clinical nutrition team.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Complete nutrition assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress

    + Provide nutrition education and counseling across diverse patient populations

    + Support performance improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance

    + Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, LTACH, and SNF settings

    + Document care accurately using Point Click Care

    + Provide age-appropriate and condition-specific nutrition interventions

    + Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards

    + Perform additional duties as assigned

    Level II Additional Responsibilities:

    + Serve as a team leader and provide supervisory support

    + Assist with oversight of nutrition services and workflow

    + Support training and mentorship of staff

    Shift Schedule

    + Shift: Day

    + Hours: 40 per week

    + Weekends/Holidays: As required by facility needs

    Minimum RequirementsLevel I

    + Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or related field (preferred or per state requirements)

    + One year of acute care experience preferred (may be waived for specific roles)

    + Current BLS certification

    + Must pass company testing process

    + Current physical exam per state/contract regulations

    + Current TB test or chest X-ray

    Level II

    + All Level I requirements

    + Two years of acute care experience preferred

    + One year of supervisory experience preferred

    + Completion of a coordinated program or dietetic internship (900+ supervised hours) preferred

    General Requirements

    + DC Dietitian License (temporary license accepted)

    + BLS/ACLS

    + COVID vaccination card

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

    + Strong communication skills and English proficiency

    + Computer proficiency

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

    Compensation PackagesLocal Clinical Dietitian

    + Pay Rate: $38/hr

    + Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,520

    Travel Dietitian

    + Hourly Pay: $18/hr

    + Meals: $600

    + Housing: $1,000

    + Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,320

     

    Unbilled orientation: None.

     

    Facility Information

    BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital – National Harborside is a long-term acute care hospital with multiple levels of care:

    + ICU: 15 beds

    + Acute Care (2nd & 3rd floors): 1:5 RN ratio

    + SNF (4th–6th floors): 1:10 RN ratio

    + Ventilator-dependent unit (6th floor): 1:5–6 RN ratio

    + Wound/Post-Surgery: 1:3 RN ratio

    + IV Antibiotic Unit: 1:7 RN ratio

    Additional details:

    + Charting: Point Click Care

    + Timekeeping: PayComm
