The Payroll Specialist I is responsible for processing payroll information, reviewing and performing payroll audits and serving as a point of contact for questions about pay policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Processes payroll for external workers on a weekly basis
+ Audits overtime weekly in accordance with federal and state regulations
+ Responds to questions regarding pay policies and procedures with a focus on customer service
+ Sets up and maintains reconciliation sheets for assigned offices
+ Reconciles transactions each payroll with the received payroll outputs
+ Audits all batches validating information and correcting where needed
+ Completes all above duties with a high degree of accuracy
+ Keeps abreast of payroll processing systems and changes in wage and tax laws
+ Adheres to all Amergis and worksite rules, policies and procedures
+ May perform other duties as required, assigned or deemed necessary by Amergis and/or the facility/client/supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Knowledge of ADP Enterprise
+ Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language maybe required
+ Computer proficiency required; Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
