    Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will perform essential victim service, advocacy and support duties. You will apply basic strategies for skilled communication. You will accept official reports of sexual assault by assisting the victim. You will perform a series of complex assessments. You will develop detailed case management plans. You will assist the SARC with developing and collaborating with relevant stakeholders on SAPR public awareness campaigns. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For GS-9 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- 7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of DoD and Service-specific programs, local, state, and federal laws, as well as military regulations, policies, and executive orders pertaining to sexual assault victim advocacy. Experience with comprehensive knowledge of essential support and advocacy services, liaison resources, community networks, and best practices for aiding victims of sexual assault. Experience in data entry, organization, report preparation, and information development. Experience effectively communicating both verbally and in writing. For GS-11 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- 9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of the duties, priorities, commitments, policies, and program goals of the SAPR program to provide available and appropriate resources. Experience in applying varied methods of sexual assault victim advocacy, including crisis intervention, situational assessment, and needs analysis to provide tailored support and assistance and evaluate safety and levels of risk. Experience developing trusting relationships within the scope of supporting sexual assault victims. Experience defining the scope and parameters of the SAPR VA role to empower victims from initial response to termination of the professional relationship. Education Applicants must meet the following basic/positive education qualification requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:Applicants must possess: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:Applicants may substitute the following education for the required specialized experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:GS-11 Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position OR Successful completion of 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. GS-09 Successful completion of a a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.
