Job Focus Area
The Social Services Analyst 3 is a complex professional role within the Louisiana Department of Education’s Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), specifically dedicated to the implementation of Act 3. The primary mission of this position is to remove barriers to high-quality childcare for at-risk families, ensuring that Louisiana’s youngest citizens enter kindergarten ready to learn. Operating within the Office of Teaching and Learning, the role combines high-level data analysis with direct family advocacy, requiring a deep understanding of complex federal funding regulations to effectively manage case development and eligibility determinations.
This position serves as a lead worker, providing vital coaching and training to lower-level analysts while identifying specific work areas needing improvement and corrective action. Key competencies for success include proficiency in essential state systems like OnBase, CAPS, and TIPS, along with the interpersonal skills necessary to address customer complaints and consult with families on their unique needs. Minimum Qualifications
Five years of experience in social services; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus two years of experience in social services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in social services; OR
An advanced degree in a social sciences field plus one year of experience in social services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Identify performance gaps in your workgroup and recommend or initiate corrective actions to maintain high service standards.
+ Perform high-level analysis of family data to establish program eligibility without bias, applying intricate federal and state regulations
+ Managing active cases with regular follow-ups at 30, 60, and 90-day intervals and collaborating with stakeholders
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
