UPMC Carlisle is hiring a Full-Time Supervisor for Central Sterile Processing

UPMC Carlisle is seeking a motivated Central Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead daily departmental operations and support exceptional patient care. This full-time position offers a flexible schedule with varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and opportunities to grow your leadership skills.
In this leadership role, you'll oversee all aspects of instrument and equipment processing-including decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution-while collaborating closely with the OR to ensure surgical cases are fully supported. You'll supervise staff, serve as a resource for service-related questions, and help develop a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

+ Leads and develops the sterile processing team by ensuring accurate instrument processing, proactive troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
+ High School Graduate or equivalent.
+ 3 years' experience in central sterile processing.
+ 2 years supervisory or team leader experience required.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with peers, physicians, staff of other hospital departments, and outside contacts
+ Must complete 10 hours of continuing education to remain qualified as a Central Sterile Technician on an annual basis.
+ Must be able to stand for all shift hours and be able to pick up, push, pull etc. 35 pounds. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution OR Certified Registered Central Service Technician with Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
