Senior Manager, Inventory Accounting

What you will be doing:
+ Oversee the accounting for inventory and related accounts/processes for both our Retail and Contract/Online businesses.
+ Manage accounting for PI results and partner with Loss Prevention on understanding shrink drivers.
+ Partner with Store Operations, Loss Prevention and Warehouse management teams on PI scheduling, including external auditor observations and accuracy of counts/reconciliation of any test count exceptions.
+ Oversee warehouse system conversions ensuring balance sheet accuracy and compliance with SOX controls requirements.
+ Manage the excess and obsolescence reserve ensuring all areas of at-risk inventory are accounted for. Partner closely with the merchants to understand risk drivers.
+ Serve as inventory subject matter expert partnering with SDS, AP, Merchandising and various operational teams on the launch of new initiatives.
+ Ensure proper SOX controls are in place for inventory, reserves and our cycle count process and lead the walk throughs and controls testing with Internal and External auditors.
+ Oversee resolution of day-to-day inventory issues.
+ Oversee 2 direct and 4 indirect reports on-shore and the work of approximately 20 off-shore associates.

What’s needed: Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
+ 8+ years of experience including prior management experience
What’s needed: Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s Degree in Accounting, experience in a similar industry or larger organization, and advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial standards.

_The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation._
