Job Description

Insight Global is seeking to hire a Pre-Deployment Manager to support a large federal contract sitting in Frederick, MD. This role ensures that all contractually agreed services and support requirements can be met by the system engineering delivery teams while developing and maintaining detailed plans, timelines, and risk assessments. The manager will lead critical pre‑production planning activities, including site walkthroughs, site surveys, and the creation of system design and configuration documentation for ATC systems. They will also build schedules and oversee logistics to coordinate internal team members, contractors, tools, and parts needed to execute deployment events. A key responsibility includes directing customers, contractors, and internal engineering resources to ensure high‑quality deliverables across system engineering and architecture activities. The position identifies and implements service delivery processes and tools, validating readiness and driving closure of any operational gaps. This manager will develop Statements of Work for subcontractors, oversee their performance, and coordinate training efforts with technical departments. They will define and monitor KPIs while tracking program cost, margin, and revenue performance. Additionally, the role requires resolving customer or quality issues through root‑cause analysis, driving corrective actions, documenting processes, and managing complex, cross‑departmental projects with both technical and business deliverables.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in project management, business, or equivalent experience

Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and leading cross‑functional teams

Ability to read and apply technical electrical and mechanical documentation

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft Office tools

Ability to obtain a DHS security clearance PMP or PMI certification

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies

Familiarity with SAP

Proximity to Frederick, MD or a major U.S. airport, with willingness to travel at least 25%
