Job Description
An employer in the Bay Area is seeking a Program Manager to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA. This person will be responsible for the following:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of Google’s project management process,
BOS Digital Building Standards, and Facility Infrastructure Standards (FIS), how FIS
compliment California building codes and how to effectively apply them. Provide
oversight to outsourced project teams to ensure consistent implementation of FIS
across all small scale, built environment projects ($100k to $10.0M) within commercial
office buildings.
• Support the outsourced team in the development of a governance program for
acceptance of advanced building automation systems ,BAS (including: Lighting, IoT
metering, automatic shading, Solar Photovoltaic, and Battery Energy Storage
Systems) within built environment projects. Monitor and report on critical program
metrics for projects executed by the outsourced team.
• Support outsourced technical teams by providing oversight of Root Cause Analysis
(RCA) processes to sufficiently identify systemic, underlying drivers. Collaborate with
outsourced teams to execute effective corrective and preventative mitigation
measures identified during RCA’s. Support outsourced teams to assess identified
failure mechanisms across the portfolio, ensuring problems found in one building are
addressed in all buildings.
• Provide oversight for key operational deliverables on assigned special projects,
ensuring high-quality execution through the final stages towards completion.
The right candidate must be local to the Bay Area and willing to be onsite 4 days per week (M-Th).

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 8-10 years of combined experience in operations, maintenance and capital projects for
the design and/or operations & maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
(MEP) systems, fire life safety systems, elevators and UPS systems within large scale
commercial office buildings, R&D laboratories, and/or light industrial facilities
• Understanding of building automated control and lighting control systems; design,
operations, maintenance, and commissioning activities
• Proficient understanding of California Building Codes
• Experience working in an outsourced operations, maintenance and project management
environment
• Proven ability to support projects and programs at scale with high level of collaboration
across internal and external teams to provide high quality execution
• Driven self starter, able to work well independently and as part of a team
