Job Description
The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating and revising CNC programs for multi-axis, horizontal, and vertical machines, mills, and lathes. This role supports production and prototype projects by programming parts and tools from customer-provided or internally created models or drawings. The CNC Programmer ensures programs meet quality and safety standards, optimizes efficiency, and collaborates with engineering and production teams to finalize programs and improve processes.
Pay Rate Range: $25.82-$34.43

Skills and Requirements
• Proficiency in writing and modifying CNC programs for various machines.
• Ability to utilize CAD models and CAM software for program development.
• Skilled in applying shop mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, depth gauges).
• Understanding of part tolerances and engineering principles.
• Ability to run simulations or tests to verify program accuracy.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with supervisors, managers, and QA personnel.
• Minimum Associate’s or technical degree or equivalent high school diploma with two (2) years of work experience.
• Ten (10) years of experience programming and machining on HAAS controls.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Must be available for a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.
• Capability to safely handle government-furnished equipment and materials. • Knowledge of Mastercam software (required) and Renishaw spindle probing with macro use.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks.
• Experience mentoring and training junior CNC machinists.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance when required by contract.
• Participation in LEAN manufacturing activities.
• Experience in optimizing tooling time and improving productivity.
