Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Satellite GNC Engineer in Colorado or fully remote. This individual will be responsible for control law and algorithm development -- analyzing, designing and implementing and validating scenarios, including those for RPO -- lead trade studies and performance analyses comparing real-time model predictive control algorithms for guidance, attitude and trajectory optimization with conventional and adaptive control methods, conduct high-fidelity simulation and Monte Carlo analyses to assess performance, robustness and fault tolerance of control designs, review and mentor other engineering staff, prepare technical responses to bids, presentation materials and reports and provide technical mentorship to GNC engineers on design & verification practices. Pay rate is $80-$85/hr, depending on experience

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD in science, technology, engineering or math, or equivalent experience.

Experienced professional with greater than 8 years of experience in satellite systems design, engineering and operations.

Understanding of satellite design and development processes.

Strong foundation in coding best practices

Experience with physics-based modeling of dynamic systems and Monte Carlo simulation analysis.

Subject matter expertise in guidance, navigation and control, orbital mechanics, and model predictive control.
