    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is looking to hire a Cloud Database Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate would have 7+ years of experience in database architecture and administration in a fully cloud environment. Day to day for this role will include deploying and managing cloud-based databases, monitoring performance, optimizing queries, ensuring security compliance, and automating tasks using scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code tools. They would have seep understanding of Azure, Terraform, SQL server, Azure CLI and other related technologies. This role will require you to be hybrid on-site in Tampa, FL.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 7+ years of experience in database architecture and administration working in a full cloud environment.

     

    - Proficiency in Azure.

     

    - Strong expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.

     

    - Experience and knowledge of Azure CLI.

     

    - Experience in Power BI (Fabric), Azure Data Factory, and other Analytics tools for business intelligence.

     

    - Knowledge of Azure networking, security best practices, and role-based access controls (RBAC). Understanding and experience with Security & Compliance.

     

    - Familiarity with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools like Terraform.

     

    - Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc).- no language specified.

     

    Ability to come on-site for a hybrid environment. · Experience with Databricks.

     

    • Certifications in Azure technologies (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Database Administrator Associate).

    • Familiarity with AI/ML integrations in Azure for advanced analytics.

    • Understanding/ experience with Networking and cloud architecture.

     

    Experience in a retail/ commerce environment.
