    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineer in a Manufacturing role focuses on building, maintaining, and improving automated test systems that validate high‑speed networking hardware before it ships to customers. This engineer works closely with hardware, platform, and software teams to ensure high yields, catch defects early, and continuously improve test processes across manufacturing sites. The role combines scripting, debugging, hardware awareness, and manufacturing operations.

    What You'll Do:

    • Develop automated test scripts in Python or Go for Final System Test of switches and high‑speed digital systems.

    • Debug system‑level failures, identify root causes, and define repeatable debug processes for test engineers at manufacturing sites.

    • Partner with engineering teams to understand new hardware designs and ensure testability (DFX: DFC, DFQ, DFM, DFR, DFT).

    • Build or improve web‑based GUIs for production testing, data mining, and analytics (Django/MariaDB).

    • Create manufacturing test plans based on hardware functional specifications.

    • Support product builds at contract manufacturing sites, maintain test scripts, and improve yield.

    • Participate in the Defect Reduction Team (DRT) to resolve systemic issues and eliminate design defects before production release.

    •Manage test equipment capacity, procurement, and ongoing maintenance.

    PR: $59- $65/ HR

    Skills and Requirements

    • Strong scripting capability — Go, Python, Linux, scripting fundamentals.

    • Solid debugging skills

    • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts and test engineering.

    • Experience using Git or other version control systems.

    • Basic SQL / database query experience.

    • Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or related discipline • Experience in the networking industry.

    • Experience developing GUIs (Django), data mining interfaces, or database‑driven dashboards.

    • Experience with system‑level tests for networking systems.

    • Familiarity with manufacturing test flows, DFx methodologies, or supporting contract manufacturers.

    • Liquid‑cooling manufacturing experience
