Job Description
The Strategic Analyst turns data into actionable insights to inform organizational strategy, optimize operations, and guide investment and transformation decisions. They partner with leaders to analyze market dynamics, performance trends, and operational bottlenecks—translating findings into recommendations and implementation roadmaps.
Core Responsibilities
• Strategy & Insights: Build models and dashboards to assess growth opportunities, cost drivers, risk scenarios, and portfolio performance.
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor moves, pricing shifts, and regulatory changes; translate implications into strategy briefs.
• Operational Optimization: Identify process inefficiencies, quantify value levers, and partner with ops to execute improvements.
• Financial Modeling: Support business cases (ROI, NPV, sensitivity analyses) for initiatives, investments, or tech deployments.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops; communicate findings to execs with story-driven visuals and clear recommendations.
• Experimentation & Evaluation: Design pilots, define success metrics, and run post-implementation reviews to ensure value realization.

• Frameworks: Porter’s Five Forces, SWOT, PESTLE, OKRs, cost-to-serve, value-chain analysis. · Quantitative analysis: Excel/SQL proficiency; statistical reasoning; scenario/sensitivity modeling.
• BI & Data Visualization: Power BI or Tableau; ability to build executive-ready dashboards.

• PMI-PBA® (Professional in Business Analysis) – robust for requirements and value delivery.
• CBAP® (Certified Business Analysis Professional) – advanced BA credential.

Analytics & Data
• Tableau Desktop Specialist / Certified Data Analyst or Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) – for dashboarding and BI.
• Google Data Analytics Certificate – foundational analytics skills.
• AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or Azure Data Scientist Associate – for cloud data/ML environments.
Financial & Investment
