    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a skilled Quality Control Inspector for a full-time direct hire opportunity with a Bio-Medical Device client located in Guilford, CT. The company is a long-standing family founded and led business known for manufacturing high quality, reliable, American-made repiratory care equipment.

     

    This position would work on a small team reporting to the Quality Engineer. The goal of this position to understand all processes related to quality and inspection, perform precise and reliable quality inspections, and grow with the company. Training will be hands on and tailored to the individual but previous experience with a variety of precision measuring tools will ensure a quicker ramp up for success.

    Responsibilities:

    - Perform detailed quality controlk inspections, checks and tests for receipt and manufacturing of products

     

    - Inspect material, parts and products at different stages of production, including incoming, in-process and final of machined, molded and fabricated components

     

    - Verify parts and measurements against drawings and blueprints, ensuring specifications and tolerances are met using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, guages, etc)

     

    - Inspect subassemblies and finished devices for workmanship and conformance to requirements

     

    - Document inspection results accurately and in compliance with company procedures

     

    - Coordinate with vendors as needed to initiate debit memos, returns, and request RMAs

     

    - Assist team members with troubleshooting as needed

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 3-5+ years of experience in a Quality Inspector or similar role

     

    - Proficient with a variety of measurement tools including dial calipers, thread ring and plug guages, guage pins, height guages, micrometers, coordinate measuring machine (CMM), optical comparators and/or other inspection equipment

     

    - Experience measuring parts against blueprints or mechanical drawings

     

    - Reliable and detail oriented

     

    - Computer literate with MS Office

     

    - High School Diploma or GED

    Physical Requirements:

    - Able to use small fixtures

     

    - Able to lift up to 50 lbs and raise to a hight of 30"

     

    - Able to sit in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time - Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) highly preferred

     

    - Industry experience within medical devices or similar

     

    - Experience with ERP or QMS Systems

     

    - Technical training or Associates Degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or quality discipline

     

    - Understanding of ISO 13485, FDA QSR or other regulatory requirements and quality systems
