    Leidos is seeking a **Mainframe Systems Analyst** to support a mainframe environment for government agency, with expertise in coordinating, executing, and reporting on backup and disaster recovery activities for a large multi-agency health care claims processing environment including : _Monitor Disaster Recovery Back-ups using DFHSM, DR/VFI, storage monitoring, file transfer support, Batch Scheduling and Monitoring using TWS, Abend Resolution, JCL Updates, Support Content Management (CA-View/Deliver, Systemware JHS) systems, Application Release Deployment and Installations._

    _Daily Operational Tasks include:_

    + _Support Medicare health claims processing activities in shared mainframe environment_

    + _Perform daily backups of various mainframe regions_

    + _Monitors and controls job processing flows using scheduling tools (TWS and TDWC) in the z/OS, z/Linux, and UNIX environments_

    + _Serve as primary point of contact for researching making to corrections to mainframe backup jobs_

    + _Gather information from various mainframe systems to identify and address health claims processing data backup and data retention issues_

    + _Provide regular reporting on production and UAT processing issues_

    + _Ensure that production and testing mainframe software release packages are installed correctly and properly added to the normal backup schedule_

    + _Create and update dashboards to track the processing of various mainframe job cycles detailing successful and unsuccessful backups_

    + _Perform validation after various mainframe backup jobs complete_

    + _Coordinate various application and batch management daily tasks_

    + _Create internal and external daily reports to monitor the status of mainframe backup and DR jobs_

    + _Review mainframe batch jobs and claims processing for errors and help coordinate any corrections and necessary re-runs_

    + _Coordinate with mainframe users to schedule and execute annual DR activities_

    + _Review various mainframe support tickets and work with vendors, senior technical resources, and potential customers to resolve issues_

    + _Potential ability to work second and third (overnight) shift work supporting batch processing and monitoring_

    + _Plan with MACs and implement annual disaster recovery exercise and report result to various government agencies._

    _Basic Qualifications_

    + _Typically requires a Bachelor's with 4+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree._

    + _5+ years supporting mainframe health claims processing and backups for the federal government sector_

    + _Must have 5 years of mainframe support, including knowledge of JCL coding and Mainframe Application support including : Batch scheduling and tools (IWS), Content management support and tools (CA View/Deliver, Systemware JHS)._

    + _Experience analyzing government mainframe systems_

    + _Experience monitoring and accessing claims jobs managing z/OS and z/VM environments_

    + _Must be proficient with TSO/ISPF Editor, IBM Utilities_

    + _Must know and be able to proficiently use TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler) and TDWC (Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console) automation tools_

    + _Experience monitoring and accessing claims jobs managing z/OS and z/VM environments_

    + _Able to utilize Incident ticket system to open, resolve, close tickets and Service Requests_

    + _Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers._

    + _Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and a high level of focus and attention to detail._

    + _Strong work ethic with good time management with the ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings_

    + _Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills_

    + _Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance and reside in the United States._

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Applicants have 5 years’ experience with mainframe backup SW such as CA Disk, IBM DFDHS, DR/ VRS.

    + Applicants have 5 years’ experience supporting CMS and the Fee For Service applications.

    + Applicants have 5 years of experience with IWS.

     

    _All candidates supporting the CMS programs must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years prior in order to be considered._

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
