    What You’ll Do Day to Day

     

    As a CNC Programmer, your expertise will directly support production efficiency and product quality. Key responsibilities include:

     

    + Programming a variety of CNC manufacturing equipment, including 3- and 5-axis machines, CNC lathes, and routers

    + Using CAD/CAM systems to convert engineering drawings and change orders into accurate machine G-code

    + Implementing program changes and entering new specifications while ensuring correct revision control

    + Programming future jobs while machines are running to maximize production efficiency

    + Completing all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner

    + Inspecting and evaluating production parts to ensure compliance with blueprint specifications

    + Designing, building, and repairing basic mechanical or specialty equipment, jigs, and fixtures as needed

    + Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment and machinery

    Required Qualifications

    + Five years of CAD/CAM programming experience in a manufacturing environment

    + Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings

    + High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy

    + Knowledge of CNC machines, tools, and their design, use, repair, and maintenance

    + Understanding of safe working practices in a manufacturing setting

    + Ability to interpret written technical information

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience programming complex 3- and 5-axis machining operations

    + Background in aviation or other highly regulated manufacturing environments

    + Experience designing or modifying fixtures and tooling
