The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing and leading enterprise-wide initiatives, strategic programs, or projects. Strong communication skills and expertise in facilitating workshops or meetings are required. A background in change management is highly preferred. Familiarity with continuous improvement, organizational development, and cultural change initiatives is considered advantageous.
Position Purpose
The primary responsibility for this position is to implement and support sustainable improvement initiatives and strategies for TVA that drives positive value across TVA. This position is responsible for facilitating improvement initiatives. Focuses on innovative solutions to any and all challenges and supports the execution of initiatives to drive cultural changes throughout the TVA organization.
Principal Accountabilities
+ Implement organizational initiatives related to continuous improvement and performance initiatives and gap closure, particularly in the areas of operational learning.
+ Manages a wide variety of high visibility and high impact projects and special assignments. Assignments will require a high degree of diplomacy and tact in addressing sensitive issues and concerns with senior level management.
+ Remains constantly aware and alert to emerging needs to take a proactive approach with regard to offered products and services.
+ Coordinate the policies, principles and rules that establish the expectations for high standards of performance and compliance for the assigned BU organization.
+ Responsible for communicating lessons learned across all assigned business units to ensure optimal organizational performance.
+ Other duties as required to support TVA as a whole.
Minimum Requirements
Education.— A Bachelor’s degree in a business, engineering, scientific, or related study or equivalent related education, training and experience.
Experience. — 5 or more years of relevant experience is desired.
Certification/License, etc— PROSCI change management certification or equivalent desired.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities— Proven skills with an ability to manage in a team setting, as well as the demonstrated capability to interface and communicate with all levels of employees. Ability to interpret broad policy matters and provide overall direction. Strong diplomacy skills and emotional intelligence is a must. Strong commitment to TVA's mission, goals, expectations and philosophy.
