    The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in integrated supply programs, who leads cross-functional supply chain execution, integrating sourcing, logistics, and supplier performance to drive program success and operational efficiency. Familiar with nuclear related inventory and emergency response.

    Position Purpose

    With some direction, this position is responsible for developing, prioritizing, implementing, and managing TVA’s integrated supply model for TVA Enterprise. This includes developing, championing, and managing various programmatic elements within integrated supply to optimize value creation and innovation while ensuring the safe delivery of material required for fleet reliability. This includes involvement on cross-functional teams, benchmarking, formulating and driving best practices; and ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at all levels, including senior management and executives. Also includes making recommendations for quality management and process improvement methodologies, developing strategies related to supplier managed inventory across the fleet, performing site visits as needed, deploying outage trailer strategies, driving on-time delivery and accuracy improvement, standardization and substitution initiatives, developing ongoing cost savings and cost savings pipeline, and supporting green sustainability and valley/small initiatives. Responsible for the negotiation of contracts and recommendations for additional second-tier suppliers. Role manages comprehensive online catalog for up to $80M in materials containing 100,000 line items. Role manages integrated supply program that provides up to $80M in materials and supports generating and transmission facilities across a 7-state region. Incumbent will manage supplier risk and supplier performance through recommending tools/processes, MRO metric dashboard, and relationship strategies. Additionally, bringing issues to integrator and assisting in resolution as they arise with second tier suppliers.

     

    Job Dimensions

     

    Supervisory Responsibility- Manage up to 5 contractor sales representatives for TVA access, training, and quarterly reviews.

     

    Budget Responsibility- As assigned

    Principal Accountabilities

    + With some direction manages the programmatic direction & resources, promotes internal compliance & maintains responsibility for achieving metrics.

    + Facilitates program development through participation on cross-functional teams and identifying, formulating and driving best practices.

    + Acts as a vocal and visible champion of the program. Manages the development of messaging and strategies for communication to employees and key stakeholders.

    + Legitimizes the project’s goals and objectives.

    + Identifies key components for increasing TVA’s success with integrated supply model through continuous improvement methodologies and activities.

    + Performs financial analysis of bids and programs to perform Total Cost of Ownership analysis of alternative options to complete the cost-benefit analysis of Request for Proposal responses and/or integrated supply programmatic elements.

    + Identifies key components for managing supplier performance including: development of supplier scorecards, tracking and reporting performance and establishment of performance improvement initiatives.

    + Recommends new and innovative strategies to accomplish cost effective supply chain and integrated supply program objectives.

    + Communicates critical program information.

    + Works closely with stakeholders to grow and sustain relationships that will provide TVA a competitive advantage.

    + Drives for cost savings through periodic price negotiations with integrator and second-tier suppliers as well as other avenues.

    + Performs site visits with business units with large usage or unique support needed/conflict resolution.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education.— B.S. degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Management, or related field or equivalent practical, relevant experience. MBA or similar advanced degree is desirable.

     

    Experience. — Six or more years supply chain experience, with focus on category management preferred, or demonstrated success/proven ability to lead project teams or programs to achieve milestones and objectives. Must be highly motivated and skilled in communication and have the ability to positively influence others at all levels. Demonstrated success with process improvement & continuous improvement methodologies & activities.

     

    Certification/License, etc— CPM, CPSM, or PMP certification desired.

     

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities— Comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain management, business law, finance, economics, and logistics. Knowledge of policies and procedures governing federal procurements. Excellent knowledge of human relations skill and management techniques to lead and direct the work of others toward achieving business objectives.
