    Engineer Intern

    **Location:** Fort Smith, AR

    **Business Unit/Corporate Function:** Consumer Packaging Division

     

    Responsible for assisting plant production and engineering team with technical support for improvement projects. Develops or improves equipment / processes by applying creative and innovative engineering applications to achieve “state-of-the-art” technologies.

     

    _Job Functions_

    Lean Initiatives:

    • Compiles, analyzes, and interprets data related to Lean projects.

    • Contribute to Lean projects at the Plant level.

    Process Engineer Initiatives:

    • Provide technical expertise and leadership in equipment improvement projects (Capital and Non-Capital)

    • Assists in the conception, development, design, and performance of various operations and maintenance improvement projects.

    • Supports continuous process improvement efforts for all departments.

    • Compiles, analyzes, and interprets data related to process improvement projects.

    • Develops cost estimates for maintenance improvement projects.

    • Assists with the maintenance of all technical documentation including prints, manuals, and process software.

    • Develop Training materials for Maintenance Technician Training

    Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

    • Assist in development of cost savings initiatives and track progress towards plant goals.

    • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.

    • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

    _Job Requirements_

    • Completion of Junior Year of Engineering bachelor’s degree Program for Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
