    Role Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and test suites. This role will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software releases.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.

    + Lead automation strategy, tools selection, and best practices across projects.

    + Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

    + Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

    + Maintain defect/quality metrics KPIs. Analyze test results and provide clear reports on quality metrics.

    + Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

    + QA estimates for business and product initiatives.

    + Optimize testing processes for speed and reliability.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + 6+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years in test automation.

    + Strong programming skills in one or more languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.).

    + Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or similar.

    + Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.

    + Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).

    + Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

    + Experience with version control systems (Git).

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

    + Experience with cloud platforms (Azure).

    + Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

    + Knowledge of security testing.

     

    _At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of_ **_$120,000- $135,000_** _for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
