    **Job Title:** Medical Office Staff Assistant

    **Hours:** 8am – 5pm

    **Pay:** $14.51+/hr (DOE)

    Summary/Objective

    The Medical Office Staff Assistant performs a variety of clerical duties to ensure efficient office operations. Primary responsibilities include greeting patients, answering a multi-line phone system, and completing administrative tasks vital to the seamless delivery of patient care.

    Essential Job Duties

    + Answer a multi-line phone system and direct calls to the appropriate parties.

    + Greet patients upon arrival, distribute necessary paperwork, and provide information for office visits or treatments.

    + Collect co-pays and other required fees prior to office visits or treatments.

    + Schedule and confirm appointments for assigned clinics or providers.

    + Communicate with patients regarding scheduling, referrals, or insurance verification.

    + Build and maintain effective relationships with outside physician offices, insurance companies, and hospital departments to ensure exceptional patient care.

    + Occasional lifting or moving up to 10 pounds; ability to assist participants in crisis situations as needed.

    Required Education and Experience

    + High School diploma or equivalent required.

    + 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
