    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a BC/BE Trauma Surgeon to join the growing trauma team at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

    Qualified Candidates:

    + Board Eligible / Board Certified General Surgery with Trauma/ Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Required

    + Must have Virginia license or ability to obtain

    Trauma Program:

    + Two trauma surgeons per day and night surgeon in-house

    + Trauma service covers acute care surgery

    + High volume trauma (90% blunt and 10% penetrating)

    + 466-bed Level l Trauma Center and Level l Burn Center

    + 65-bed Emergency Department

    + 12-bed dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department

    + 15 operating rooms

    + Spacious Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum suites

    + Tucker Pavilion – 137 beds dedicated to inpatient acute behavioral health care

    + Levinson Heart Institute with four dedicated cardiac ORs, three interventional catheterization and three electrophysiology labs

    + 32-bed Medical Surgical ICU, 12-bed Coronary ICU, and 12-bed dedicated CV ICU
