The Boeing Company is seeking a **Space Launch System (SLS) Production Test Engineering Manager** to join the Boeing Test and Evaluation team at our **Kennedy Space Center** production assembly facility, located in **Florida.**

This position will work closely with Production Operations and SLS Engineering leadership to lead a highly skilled team of test engineers that perform acceptance testing of avionics and propulsion systems on the SLS Core Stage (CS).

The selected candidate must have a strong sense of responsibility for the success of the program and be able to motivate a group of diverse individuals to achieve a common objective with shared values and processes while leading multi-skilled test teams that validate NASA’s SLS Rocket Core Stage.

Position Responsibilities Include:

+ Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Test and Evaluation Engineering

+ Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals

+ Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements

+ Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

+ Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

+ Manage, develop and motivate employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

+ Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

+ 5+ years of experience in a technical or engineering field

+ Experience conducting tests in a lab or production environment

+ Experience building a team and developing employees

+ Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

+ 3+ years of experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment

+ Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical audiences and be a self-starter

+ Experience in engineering management or technical management

+ Experience with launch vehicle systems

+ Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $141,100 - $190,900
