    About the Role:

    Under the direction of the Accounting Director, this role will reconcile general ledger accounts, manage project revenue and billing schedules, record fixed price revenue projects, maintain month end close task list. This person will assist in training and managing junior staff.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Perform routine accounting duties within a fast-paced department while adhering to established standards

    + Serve as a resource for Project Managers concerning revenue recognition and/or invoicing

    + Set up project budgets in Dynamics SL

    + Set up revenue schedules in Dynamics SL

    + Create project stats for fixed price projects

    + Prepare journal entries for other current assets, customer deposits, hosting costs, fixed price revenue contracts, scheduled billing contracts

    + Prepare monthly payroll entry, monthly bonus accrual entry and monthly balance sheet reconciliations

    + Reconcile and prepare entries for all ICO activity

    + Year-end project creation/activation for the large clients with annual cut-offs

    + Coordinate and follow up with Project Managers and Account Managers on open timecards, approvals, and corrections

    + Oversee revenue recognition for T&M, Fixed, and Scheduled billing contracts

    + Oversee timely setup of projects and new clients by other team members

    + Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries including accruals, reconciliation of accounts.

    + Record direct to intercompany customer payments

    + Manage the intercompany entry process

    + Track sales tax by state

    + Manage Bill Rates and Labor Rates

    + Research variances on Project Profitability Report

    + Manage Sr Accountant

    + Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

    + Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

    + Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

    + Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

    + Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance or accounting

    + 6-8 years of experience in revenue accounting

    + Experience with accounting software

    + Expert level Excel skills

    + ERP migration experience

    + Knowledge of advanced financial and accounting principles

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Proficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems

    + Ability to identify areas for process improvement
