This position is for Parker Hannifin’s Composite Sealing Systems Division, located in San Diego (Otay Mesa), California. Travel is required for this position upto 25% of the time.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Division Supply Chain Manager (DSCM) develops and manages the direction and daily activities of the division's materials and services with the focus on people, organization, process and information technology. This includes the S&OP Process to support the manufacturing and processing cycle and ensuring timely logistical processing of product. They are responsible for embracing and driving lean enterprise systems throughout the division supply chain. This position directly reports to the general manager with additional accountability to the group supply chain manager while interacting with all levels of division management. The DSCM will manage the complete material control process including procurement, production and inventory control, and transportation logistics.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
+ Manage the materials function within the division considering manufacturing capacity, schedules workloads, recommends in house manufacturing versus outsourcing, quality control and workforce balance.
+ Establish and maintain premier customer service.
+ Lead all Supply Chain Management activities within the division including: establishing preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluation of price, quality, delivery, certifications, compliance with governmental procurement regulations and group programs.
+ Establish and implement standard and automated re-order procedures.
+ Develop crisis management and supplier backup contingency programs.
+ Negotiate long term contracts in coordination with group staff and policies.
+ Manage continuous improvements programs with suppliers.
+ Manage the division operational inventory to ensure adequate stocking levels for immediate production items and forecasting for future requirements.
+ Establish and implement standard and automated delivery procedures for just in time supplier stocking items.
+ Facilitate the S&OP Process.
+ Manage the division's overall strategic production planning practices taking into consideration short term/long term production requirements and integrating materials availability.
+ Establish and implement procedures for special order request, engineering changes and part substitutions, and sales market demand for products.
+ Integrate the division with electronic interfaces throughout the supply chain.
+ Manage the division’s transportation logistics to ensure distribution of products direct to customers, or through distribution centers and warehouses are completed with optimum service at the most efficient cost.
+ Represents the supply chain at the division level.
+ Provide leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.
+ Drive a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
+ Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.
+ Perform other duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
+ Four-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management, required
+ Master’s degree in business, engineering, or materials management, preferred
+ Certification in supply chain management, preferred
Experience:
+ 5-7 year’s managerial experience in supply chain management
+ Advanced computer skills and be able to understand electronic data processing
+ Systems (IT) experience such as SAP, preferred
+ Practical experience in implementing lean technologies and practices
Skills:
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal, communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts in English.
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal, communication skills in Spanish.
+ Possesses analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
+ Be an innovator and embrace lean enterprise principles and practices.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders] or have refugee or asylee status).

Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $156900 to $274550 annually
+ Participation in Annual and Long-Term Incentive Programs
