Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager III to join our analytics team supporting North America Stores Finance. This role will own the lifecycle of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives across our 18-person team spanning business intelligence and data engineering. The TPM will work with our VP organization, influencing system owners and architecture decisions while driving organizational goals and measurable improvements in efficiency and customer experience.
The TPM will help define key objectives for the team, develop goals that align with and support top-level customer goals, and ensure our technical resources are optimally allocated across competing priorities. This role requires exceptional strategic thinking to build and maintain roadmaps for multiple stakeholder groups, both internal and external.
A critical aspect of this role is streamlining both operational and project-focused processes to increase team effectiveness. The TPM will define, track, and share metrics to ensure successful project delivery, and will be accountable for overall program strategy from concept to delivery. This position demands strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to finance and business stakeholders up to the VP level, translating technical challenges into language that resonates with diverse audiences.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the lifecycle of large, complex cross-functional technology initiatives across the North America Stores Finance Analytics team, with accountability for overall program strategy from concept to delivery
- Help define key objectives for the team that align with and support top-level customer goals, manage organizational roadmap and contribute to OP1/OP2 narratives
- Build and maintain comprehensive roadmaps for multiple stakeholder groups, prioritizing work requests and negotiating resources across the organization while advising Senior Managers and Directors on program strategy
- Help determine technical approaches the team takes, influencing system owners and architecture decisions through data-driven contributions while understanding system limitations, scaling factors, and long-term architectural implications
- Streamline and eliminate excess process in both operational and project-focused workflows, increasing team effectiveness through strategic interventions and creating predictable process paths
- Drive simplification and efficiency in existing engineering and architectures, ensuring teams focus on the right solutions for customers and the organization
- Define, track, and share metrics to ensure successful project delivery and organizational goal achievement, creating clear, measurable success criteria for all programs
- Write and own critical team documents including MBRs, QBRs, and OP documents; present effectively to VPs and senior leadership
- Translate complex technical challenges into clear, understandable language for finance and business customers, driving detailed business and technical alignment across cross-functional teams
- Unblock teams and increase delivery speed by proactively identifying and mitigating organizational risks before they become roadblocks, demonstrating good judgment in escalation timing
- Solve ambiguous problems and work through undefined situations to create clarity, managing overall schedule while balancing short-term needs with long-term considerations
- Actively mentor and develop others, providing constructive feedback for engineers, managers, and peers while participating in recruiting and hiring for the team
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
