Description
The Equity Research Associate Director supports Senior Equity Research Analysts in delivering high-quality investment research on companies within the REIT sector. This role involves building and maintaining financial models, analyzing industry and company fundamentals, preparing research reports, and helping communicate investment insights to internal stakeholders and external clients. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced market environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Build, update, and maintain detailed financial models including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and valuation analyses.
+ Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate key drivers of company performance.
+ Monitor company earnings, guidance, and market ‑ moving events to update estimates promptly.
+ Perform in-depth fundamental research on companies within REIT sector, including competitive positioning, strategic initiatives, and risks.
+ Track industry trends, macroeconomic factors, regulatory developments, and thematic drivers impacting company performance.
+ Analyze company filings, earnings transcripts, investor presentations, and third ‑ party data sources.
+ Draft concise and insightful research notes, earnings updates, thematic reports, and valuation summaries.
+ Support senior analysts in producing client-facing materials, including investment theses and sector outlooks.
+ Prepare presentations and talking points for internal teams such as sales, trading, and portfolio managers.
+ Aggregate, validate, and interpret large datasets from financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ).
+ Ensure accuracy and consistency of research inputs and outputs across models and publications.
+ Respond to ad ‑ hoc information requests from internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
+ Participate in meetings with company management teams, industry experts, and institutional clients.
+ Support internal reporting, performance tracking initiatives, and other duties as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ 5+ years’ experience in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Equity Research
+ FINRA Series 7 required, and 86 and 87 preferred (or equivalent)
+ Located in or willing to relocate to New York City, NY, Columbus, OH or Charlotte, NC

+ Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

+ Commitment to professional integrity and continuous development

Compensation Range:
$100,000 - $175,000 Annual Salary
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
