    Job Summary and Responsibilities

     

    As our Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide vital direct patient care, significantly contributing to patient well-being and recovery as an integral part of our compassionate healthcare team.

     

    Every day, you will assess patient conditions, administer medications, perform prescribed treatments, and meticulously document care. You will collaborate with RNs and physicians to implement individualized care plans, ensuring a seamless and high-quality patient experience.

     

    To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient safety, and excellent communication. Your compassionate demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment are essential.

     

    + PROVIDES EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

    + Consistently demonstrates customer service expectations as outlined in the Dignity Health Medical Foundation audit tools.

    + Consistently makes eye contact and smiles.

    + Demonstrates active listening with positive can do attitude.

    + Consistently respectful, concerned, and shows empathy.

    + Uses scripted greeting. "Thank you for choosing Mercy Medical Group this is (your name) how can I help you" Uses scripted closing at every interaction. "Is there anything else I can do for you" Over the phone and as patients leave the clinic.

    Job Requirements

    + High School GED or High School Graduate

    + Satisfactory completion of a formal Licensed Vocational Nurse program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program (Determination made by Dignity Health Medical Foundation H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division) of Allied Health Professions.)

    + Current and valid CA LVN license

    + Three (3) years experience in an outpatient setting as a Licensed Vocational Nurse

    + Basic Life Support - CPR certification through the American Heart Association, upon hire

    + Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.

    + Knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding procedures and reference tools, and pharmacology appropriate to the Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice is essential to this position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Familiarity with an electronic practice management system

    Pay Range

    $33.29 - $37.54 /hour
