Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Orange, California. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in general ledger accounting and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet and cash accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Prepare and post journal entries in alignment with financial reporting standards.

• Collaborate with the Grants department to reconcile grants and sub-grants on a monthly basis.

• Supervise the Senior Financial Analyst in managing payables and cash receipts.

• Provide support to the Controller during annual audits and assist as a secondary payroll processor.

• Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.

• Utilize Sage Intacct software to manage accounting tasks effectively and efficiently.

• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.

• Maintain an organized and accurate general ledger.

• Assist in the development and implementation of improved financial processes. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting.

• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting such as a hospital or outpatient clinic.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.

• Strong knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting software.

• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Experience in online payroll preparation.

• Preferred experience in non-profit organizations and third-party billing or reimbursement processes.
