Description
We are looking for a skilled Security Network Engineer to join a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) and ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust network security infrastructures. This role requires hands-on expertise in securing client environments, monitoring threats, and responding to incidents across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving security measures and troubleshooting complex issues in diverse environments.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement secure network architectures tailored to client needs.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize firewalls, VPNs, and secure network segmentation.
• Manage next-generation firewalls from vendors such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, SonicWall, and Meraki.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents, conducting investigations and providing timely remediation.
• Strengthen identity and access security through tools like Conditional Access and privileged access controls.
• Enhance security for cloud-based and hybrid environments, including Azure networking and firewall policies.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and execute plans for remediation and system hardening.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security protocols into infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Participate in incident response efforts, performing root cause analyses and delivering post-incident reports.
• Create and update security documentation, including standards and client-specific diagrams.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security or security engineering roles.
• Proficient in managing firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, and other network security components.
• Experience supporting multi-tenant environments or consulting roles.
• Strong knowledge of IP protocols, VLANs, network segmentation, and related concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud security fundamentals, particularly within Azure environments.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle security incidents effectively.
• Experience with ticketing systems, documentation, and change management processes.
• Certifications in security or related fields are preferred, such as Security+, CySA+, or vendor-specific certifications. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
