Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Trial Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in trial preparation, ensuring legal documents, evidence, and exhibits are meticulously managed and organized. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with attorneys and support courtroom proceedings.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and organize case files, evidence, and exhibits to facilitate seamless trial preparation.

• Assist attorneys by drafting and filing legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery requests, ensuring compliance with court deadlines.

• Maintain trial calendars, track deadlines, and manage witness lists to support effective case management.

• Conduct thorough legal and factual research to support case strategies and strengthen arguments.

• Provide direct courtroom support, including document retrieval, exhibit tracking, and operating technology for presentations.

• Act as the "hot seat" operator during trial, managing courtroom technology and workflow to ensure smooth proceedings.

• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and external stakeholders to support legal processes and trial execution.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a trial paralegal, including Hot Seat courtroom support and technology management.

• Proficiency in case management software and courtroom presentation tools.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex trial preparations.

• Excellent research and communication abilities to support attorneys effectively.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities and maintain composure under pressure during trials.

• Expertise in trial preparation, including visual aids, exhibits, and mockups.

• Solid knowledge of civil litigation and discovery processes.
