Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnered with a growing oil and gas company in Fort Worth that is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its accounting team due to an internal promotion and continued company growth. This role offers strong exposure to financial modeling, investor reporting, and strategic analysis, making it an excellent opportunity for an analytically driven professional looking to advance within the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

+ Analyze royalty payments to ensure accurate and timely compensation

+ Organize and structure data to allow efficient refresh of reports and analyses

+ Prepare monthly and quarterly financial summary reports for clients and investors

+ Assist with the asset divestment process, including financial analysis and reporting

+ Build, maintain, and enhance financial and investment models

+ Refresh, validate, and review Power BI dashboards and data models

+ Develop and maintain board-level and investor presentations

+ Support preparation of quarterly management letters to investors

+ Partner with leadership on ad-hoc analysis and strategic initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and functions.

• Familiarity with Power BI and other data visualization tools.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to see the broader implications.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work both independently and within a team.

• Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

• Exposure to the oil and gas or private equity industries is required
