    Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in White Plains, New York. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and has experience handling individual and business tax returns, including multistate filings.     Responsibilities:

    • Prepare accurate individual and business tax returns, including W2s, 1040s, and 1120s.

    • Manage tax filings for both low and high net-worth individuals.

    • Handle multistate tax preparation to ensure compliance across various jurisdictions.

    • Perform light bookkeeping tasks to support financial accuracy.

    • Assist with sales tax reporting and payroll tax submissions.

    • Utilize ProSeries, QuickBooks, and Excel software to complete tax-related tasks efficiently.

    • Provide excellent customer service and address tax-related inquiries from clients.

    • Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax regulations to ensure proper filings.

    • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines during peak tax seasons. Requirements • Proven experience in individual and corporate tax preparation.

    • Familiarity with multistate tax filings and regulations.

    • Proficiency in using ProSeries, QuickBooks, and Excel.

    • Strong understanding of federal and local tax codes.

    • Ability to perform light bookkeeping and sales tax reporting.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tax calculations.

    • Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
