    Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnered with a growing oil and gas company in Fort Worth that is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its accounting team due to an internal promotion and continued company growth. This is a great opportunity for an accountant with Oil and Gas experience who enjoys hands-on accounting, visibility across the business, and long-term stability in a well-established organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Record and post journal entries in OGSys (or similar O& G systems)

    + Prepare and maintain balance sheet and account reconciliations

    + Perform bank reconciliations

    + Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

    + Record production payments and deposit royalty checks

    + Assist with the review of property tax statements

    + Support financial reporting and analysis for investors

    + Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting

    Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant experience.

     

    • Strong understanding of oil and gas accounting practices.

    • Proficiency in OGSys, WolfePak, or similar oil and gas software systems.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerBI is a plus.

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
