Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant who can take ownership of the role and become a strategic business partner within the organization. As the Senior Accountant, you will oversee the general ledger system, assist with preparing accruals, support tax compliance, prepare annual tax filings, complete bank reconciliations, draft financial reports, coordinate the month end/year end close prepare data for monthly journal entries, assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliation, perform account reconciliations, assist with the annual audit process, maintain financial records, and perform financial analysis as needed. The successful candidate for this role will have sharp analytical skills, excellent time management abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts, to guarantee financial data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, coordinating audits and tax preparations as needed.
• Develop and document accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets, analyzing variances and forecasting future performance.
• Administer payroll processes, employee benefits, and monthly sales commission calculations.
• Handle contract invoicing and ensure project accounts are accurately maintained and invoiced on time.
Requirements
The ideal Senior Accountant MUST have a Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting.
Other requirements for the Senior Accountant role include and are not limited to:
• 3+ years of accounting/GL experience
• AIA billing experience a PLUS
• Software: QuickBooks
• Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
• Solid GAAP knowledge
