Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist (R)Job Description

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will work under the supervision of the Director to provide both direct and indirect patient care. Your role will involve documenting procedural events, performing analytical calculations, setting up and operating equipment, and assisting physicians during sterile procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining and monitoring aseptic techniques to reduce the risk of surgical site infections.

Responsibilities

+ Assist providers with cardiovascular procedures by scrubbing and/or first assisting.

+ Provide input for equipment purchase and maintain a cost-effective inventory.

+ Ensure proper documentation of all procedural events and analytical calculations.

+ Maintain aseptic technique to reduce risk of infection.

+ Complete other functions as assigned per professional licensure.

Essential Skills

+ Successful completion of ARRT, RCIS, EMT, LPN, or RN.

+ Proficiency in all cardiovascular procedures and team functions.

+ Knowledge of instruments and supplies used for electrophysiology and interventional cardiovascular procedures.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate's Degree is preferred.

+ 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, OR, or Special Procedures.

+ RCIS or ARRT program completion required.

+ Ability to handle instrumentation with fine motor skills and precise eye/hand coordination.

Work Environment

The work environment includes Cath Lab rooms with one Electrical Physiology Room and two Coronary Labs. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday, with occasional elective cases on Saturdays, from 07:30 to 16:00 or until cases are completed. There is no on-call requirement for EP, but staying late during the week when needed is expected. The call schedule rotation includes 7 shifts per 4-week schedule, covering weekends and holidays. Travel between various system facilities and off-site locations may be required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Joseph, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.67 - $43.01/hr.
