Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician with a strong aptitude for electro-mechanical troubleshooting. This role requires significant travel throughout North America, the Dominican Republic, and Canada. The ideal candidate will be committed to quality work and excellence in detail, with the initiative and drive to grow within the company. Effective communication with customers and co-workers is essential.
You will travel to manufacturing locations around the country to install dairy product manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Travel 70-80% of the time to various locations for field service work.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve electro-mechanical issues effectively.
+ Communicate clearly with customers and co-workers to ensure satisfaction.
+ Complete service and expense reports and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
+ Contribute new ideas, designs, and methods to improve processes.
+ Read electrical and pneumatic schematics, or demonstrate a willingness to learn.
+ Utilize PLC, machine control, and ladder logic experience.
+ Perform advanced troubleshooting techniques, including redesign of machine components and programming changes.
Essential Skills
+ 2-4+ years of field service experience - exposure to high-speed packaging equipment preferred.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading, hand tools, mechanical, wiring, hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, and installation.
+ Experience with PLCs, assembly, troubleshooting, machine building, preventive maintenance, repair, mechanical and electrical assembly.
+ Familiarity with high-speed manufacturing and machinery, control systems, designing, and fabrication.
+ Competency with MS Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with high-speed packaging machinery and equipment is preferred.
+ Customer-facing skills and controls experience in automation.
+ Ability to work as an in-house machine builder when not traveling.

Work in a clean, temperature-controlled facility with a tight-knit culture. The company values professionalism and skilled craftsmanship, ensuring all employees are treated with respect. The facility is small-scale, with plans to move into a new building in 2026

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westerville, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
